Aboard the Ptolemaios 2, Revive tells Sumeragi and the Meisters that he doesn’t know where Veda is. He asks what they would do if they knew, and Tieria says they’ll reclaim it. Sumeragi asks what the Innovators plan to use Veda for and what the true purpose of Aeolia’s plan is, to which Revive answers that it’s all for the upcoming dialogues. Allelujah says he doesn’t understand, and Revive says that’s the limitation of humans, which prompts Lockon to point out that Revive isn’t omnipotent since he was captured. Revive then poses the possibility that he was captured on purpose, and just then Feldt calls to inform Sumeragi that Anew is an Innovator and she took Mileina hostage after shooting Lasse. Setsuna pulls a gun on Revive when he gets up, but Revive says that the hostage’s life will be in danger if anything happens to him. He says that he and Anew can synchronize their thoughts since they’re the same time. He then walks out of the room, and the power goes out across the ship. Anew forces Mileina to load the 00 Gundam onto the catapult, and in the hallway they’re confronted by an armed Soma. With the ship’s system infected by a virus, Sumeragi returns to the bridge while the Meisters split into two groups to find Anew. Anew pulls her gun on Soma, and Soma blames the Innovators for what happened to Sergei. Setsuna and Lockon then arrive, and Anew asks Lockon if he wants to come with her and see the world change. Lockon agrees and offers the Cherudim Gundam as a gift. Setsuna then grabs Soma’s gun and shoots at Lockon’s shoulder. While Anew is distracted, Lockon spins with the low gravity and grabs Mileina away from her. Anew mentally tells Revive that Mileina was rescued, and Revive blames that on her female emotions. He then grabs a rifle and knocks down Ian in the mobile suit hangar. Revive then steals the 0 Raiser, while Anew escapes in a small shuttle. Setsuna and Lockon launch in their Gundams, and Setsuna tells Lockon that recovering the 0 Raiser is their top priority. Lockon goes into Trans-Am to give Setsuna a fast ride, and they surround Revive. Setsuna reminds Revive of what Lockon said earlier, and suddenly Haro jumps out from behind Revive and jumps into its docking station to initiate the 0 Raiser’s docking sequence. Now combined as the 00 Raiser, Revive finds that he has no control and decides to abandon the 0 Raiser, but first he shoots up the cockpit, which powers down the Raiser system. Anew then flies by in the shuttle and picks up Revive. Lockon tells her to stop and threatens to fire, but he’s unable to pull the trigger and blames his lack of resolve. Anew says to herself that she really loved Lyle. Louise meets with Ribbons, and he offers to give her new medicine. He asks why he gave her medicine to stop the cellular mutation that’s killing her and says it’s because Louise had the desire to create a new world and avenge her parents. Ribbons says he has high hopes for Louise to become the first human Innovator and brought the mobile armor Regnant along for her to use.
Feldt gives Sumeragi a status report on the recovery from the computer virus. Mileina asks about Anew, but Sumeragi says they have to focus on the enemies that will surely attack soon. Ian reports that he’s replaced the 0 Raiser’s cockpit block, but he needs to adjust the Raiser system, so they can’t launch the 00 Gundam. Allelujah watches over Lasse in the infirmary and wonders why this happened. Setsuna tells Lockon that Anew will definitely appear on the battlefield, and Lockon says he’ll do what’s needed. Setsuna tells him to stop acting tough and says he’ll pull the trigger if necessary. He adds that there’s no reason for Lockon and Anew to fight. Sumeragi takes over the helm and tells Tieria to launch in the Seravee Gundam. Feldt then picks up an incoming squad of enemy mobile suits: Hiling and Revive in the Garazzo and Gadessa, along with Louise in the Regnant and Anew in the Gaddess. Louise fires the Regnant’s main cannon, and Tieria and Lockon are surprised that the beam can bend. She then fires at the Archer Arios, so Soma undocks. Lockon blocks an attack with his shield bits and is then attacked by Anew. Lockon fires at Anew with his beam pistols and dodges her attacks. Tieria fires a hyper burst mode shot from his cannons, but Louise blocks it with the Regnant’s GN field. She then fires again and heavily damages the Arios Gundam. Lockon is lured away from the battlefield and launches his shield bits in response to Anew’s fangs. He then gets in close and asks Anew why they have to fight, and she says it’s because he’s human. Lockon says they understood each other, but she things the world is a fabrication. Lockon then goes into Trans-Am and damages the Gaddess with his bits. Revive and Hiling break past and head for the Ptolemaios 2, and Louise uses plasma leaders to electrocute Tieria, Allelujah and Soma. Lockon tosses aside his pistols and rips open the Gaddess’s cockpit. He asks her to come back with him, and she begins to come over. However, Ribbons takes over Anew with quantum brain waves and heavily damages the Cherudim Gundam. Lockon asks Anew to stop, but she ignores him and rushes in for the killing strike. Just then, Setsuna blasts the Gaddess as he flies by and bathes the area in GN particles. Lockon finds himself in a strange place with Anew, and she says she’s glad she’s an Innovator because she wouldn’t have met him otherwise. She asks if they understood each other, and Lockon answers that they did. Anew then pushes Lockon away just before the Gaddess explodes. Later, Lockon repeatedly punches Setsuna in the face and accuses him of killing Anew. Setsuna does nothing, and Lockon eventually stops and begins crying on Setsuna’s shoulder. Saji thinks to himself that he and Louise might have a similar situation. Setsuna thinks to himself that he can hear Marina’s voice singing.
Picking up on the previous episode’s cliffhanger, Anew is activated as an Innovator and immediately takes out Lasse. Fortunately, her plan to steal the 00 Gundam goes awry, and Revive’s escape with the 0 Raiser is short-lived. Setsuna certainly has an interesting way of distracting hostage takers, but at least it worked. Ribbons leaves his couch for once and gives Louise the Regnant, which is the upgraded form of the Empruss that Divine was using. We learn that he’s been giving her medicine to control the sickness she has from her exposure to Tau particles. Not surprisingly, in typical Gundam fashion, Lockon and Anew are forced into a fated battle. He pulls off some impressive moves, but unfortunately the Cherudim Gundam is trashed when Ribbons takes control of Anew. Setsuna was serious when he offered to pull the trigger on Anew, and he followed through with that promise. Luckily, Lockon’s rage over that is quickly settled. If he had developed a Shinn Asuka-like obsession over this, it would’ve been quite annoying.
