As the combined fleet heads for Ambat, Vargas shows Flit and Dique the specs for the Diva‘s new photon blaster cannon designed by the AGE System. Dique asks why Flit is impressed when he created the AGE System, and Flit answers that he never thought to use in anything but the Gundam. Vargas says they’ll need a powerful weapon if they encounter that UE mothership again. Flit leaves to tune up the Gundam, and Dique wishes him good luck. Flit wonders to himself if he can become stronger by mastering the X-Rounder power. Elsewhere, Millais helps Emily put on a normal suit and asks Emily if she’s scared. Emily answers that she is, but she’s decided to watch over Flit. Millais admits that she’s scared too, and when Emily asks why she’s fighting, Millais answers that she doesn’t want more people to be hurt. Millais tells Emily that she should tell Flit how she feels, which makes Emily blush. In the mobile suit hangar, Largan asks Woolf if he has a girlfriend, and Woolf responds that his girlfriend is a pure white princess. The two tell each other not to die in the upcoming battle. On the bridge, Grodek tells Adams he should get some rest, but Adams says he feels calmer on the bridge. Adams then looks at a picture of his mother in a locket and vows to go on a trip with her when the battle is over. Grodek then addresses the fleet and says they have to win, regardless of the sacrifices. Largan launches in his Genoace, which has been equipped with a new DODS gun. He’s followed by Woolf in the G-Exes and Flit in the AGE-1 Spallow. The Zalam and Euba ships deploy their mobile suits, which are also now armed with DODS guns. The fleet then makes the first move by opening fire on Ambat, and the UE respond by launching the mothership Fa Bose, along with a large number of Gafrans and Baqtos. Grodek then orders the Diva to transform to assault landing mode, so the crew heads to their emergency stations. The ship then begins its transformation as blocks shift and the mobile suit launch catapults move to reveal the photon blaster cannon. Grodek orders the mobile suits to clear a path for the ship so that it can fire its photon blaster cannon. Watching the battle from a control room, Geera Zoi (aka Yark) comments that the Diva is indeed a Trojan Horse, but it doesn’t have enough firepower to stop them. Geera tells his son Alabel to watch closely the foolishness of the Earthers. The Gafrans and Baqtos open fire on the mobile suits, and Woolf slices apart several Gafrans with his beam saber. Using his new rifle, Largan lands his first kill against a Gafran. Flit slices apart Gafrans with his Shiguru blade and proclaims that the UE will no longer be able to do as they please.
The Fa Bose opens fire on Ract’s Elmeda and his squad of Xenos, but they’re protected by anti-beam dispersal shells. Xeno and Zila teams break off to attack the UE, and Ract says to himself that Boyage’s death changed the long history of the Zalam and Euba. More UE suits launch from the Fa Bose and prevent the Diva from moving in closer. Geera sees that the Diva is up to something, but he comments that they’ll struggle uselessly and die for nothing. A Baqto sneaks up on Largan from behind, but Woolf destroys it. More UE reinforcements arrive and cause heavy damage to the Xeno and Zila teams. Dique asks Vargas if they can fire the photon blaster cannon, but Vargas explains that they have to get within effective firing range, and after firing it’ll take time to recharge for the next shot. Flit rushes in and tells Largan and Woolf that he’s going to draw away the UE suits. Flit enters the enemy lines and is surrounded by Gafrans and Baqtos, and he uses his X-Rounder power to evade their attacks and return fire with his needle guns. He moves around quickly, slicing apart one Gafran after another. The Diva then pushes ahead at full speed and prepares to fire the photon blaster cannon. Once within range, the Diva fires the photon blaster cannon at the Fa Bose. The blast pierces through the Fa Bose and Ambat, but a smaller battleship detaches from the Fa Bose as it explodes. The battleship speeds toward the Diva on a suicide run, but the Diva can’t evade in time. Weapons fire has no effect, so Ract decides to slam into its engines and disable the ship. Ract says he’s not doing this for glory, but to save his comrades like Boyage did. Flit chases after Ract, but before Ract can perform his suicide attack, the battleship is hit by incoming weapons fire. Wielding a mega launcher, Madorna’s Shaldoll M leads a squad of Shaldolls and he tells Grodek he’d have been there earlier, but it took time to get the mobile suits ready. The fleet presses forward toward Ambat, and Flit tells Ract that everyone wants to save someone, so he needs to stop trying to die. Ract realizes that he lost himself in battle and vows to remember Flit’s words. Geera sees that he can’t underestimate the Earthers, but they still have the advantage. Desil stands next to the Zedas and says he can’t wait to play with Flit. Nearby, several men force Yurin into a pilot suit against her will.
The strike against the UE that Grodek has been planning for a long time finally begins. It took a while (and a few mediocre episodes) to get here, but the payoff has been worth it. The combined fleet goes all out against the UE, and thankfully all these mobile suits now have a chance thanks to their new DODS guns. Poor Largan finally gets to do something other than be a beating post for the UE. Flit starts actively tapping into his X-Rounder power and uses it to good effect to slice apart lots of Gafrans. For the characters on the sidelines, it’s a shame that Emily isn’t doing anything now other than being a cheerleader for Flit. She is rather useless at this point, but at least before she had some things going on, like her initial conflict with Grodek. Ract seems determined to pull a Boyage and heroically sacrifice himself, but he’s stopped by the timely arrival of Madorna. Perhaps the biggest surprise of this episode was seeing the Diva‘s new assault landing mode, which pretty much resembles the Pegasus class from Universal Century Gundam (and if it wasn’t obvious enough, Geera name checks it as a Trojan Horse). The new cannon is definitely powerful, since it blasts through both the Fa Bose and Ambat. With Desil about to join the battlefield, more fierce fighting is on the way.
