GB Fest begins at the large GGF Plaza, which features a life-size Unicorn Gundam statue. Sana Miyama attends with her friends, Touma Aizen and Ryusei Fudo, and she tries to jump up to get a better view from where she’s standing. Ryusei is eager to test his Gundam Helios, and Touma already has the Gunpla for his Gundam Livelance Heaven in his hand. The three then start a team Gunpla Battle, and Sana scans in her Gundam Perfect Strike Freedom. MC Hal explains that Sana will fight opponents and be joined by her teammates at regular intervals. Sana launches into a large forested area and immediately comes under fire from about 20 amphibious mobile suits hiding in the river. Sana performs a Perfect Full Burst to wipe them out in one attack, but that leaves her out of ammo when a Tallgeese III suddenly attacks. Sana is saved at the last second by Touma, who criticizes her for using up all her energy when she was alone. Touma blocks the Tallgeese III’s attack and then slices it apart with his lance. Touma then leaps into the air and takes out other enemies. However, he’s quickly surrounded midair by many Catsiths and Byarlants. Ryusei then shows up and fires off a large-scale attack that wipes out all the enemy units. Sana comments that Ryusei is their ace, and Touma points out that the event has no individual awards. Touma thinks that they’ll face alternating waves of enemies, so their next opponent should be ace-level. The next wave begins, but their team and all other teams stand around waiting when no one shows up. Touma thinks they would’ve been notified by now if there was a problem with the game. The box-shaped plastic runners then appear and start disabling player suits, but Sana and the rest of her team manage to avoid getting disabled. A masked man stands atop the Unicorn Gundam statue at GB Fest, and his laughing is heard within the game. Ryusei changes his camera view and determines that the laughing is coming from outside the game.
This episode ends in the same way as the previous did – a surprise attack that disables a Gunpla, but this time on a much larger scale. In the last episode, the mysterious assailant told Misa to bring Takuma to GB Fest, which is now in full swing. Instead of seeing them, we’re introduced to a trio of new characters in the form of Sana, Touma and Ryusei. They’re all cliche cutouts right now, with Sana being pretty middle of the road, Ryusei being casual and Touma being super serious. I’m amused that Touma did an opposite version of the Gundam Deathscythe Hell and named it the Gundam Livelance Heaven, as well as that the first wave of enemies was all aquatic suits from different Gundam universes. Now that the masked man has shown himself, presumably we’ll learn next what is motivating his attacks.
