Atop a ruined building, Domon Kasshu practices Tai Chi in his God Gundam. With the Mobile Trace System, the God Gundam moves in perfect synchronization with Domon’s body. His training is interrupted when Rain Mikamura arrives with her Rising Gundam. She asks Domon where he’s wandered off to for the last few days, and he insists that he’s been training. Rain doesn’t believe him and attacks. The two trade punches and then kick each other in the air. Domon then breaks away and flies to a nearby building. He charges up and unleashes his Bakunetsu God Finger. At the same time, Rain charges up and releases a Rising Finger. The two blasts of energy collide and set off a massive explosion.
Directed by Takashi Imanishi, this third short features some great animation with Domon’s God Gundam. It moves so nicely and has some great detail. As expected, there’s some kind of misunderstanding between Rain and Domon. Although it’s not exactly known, this short presumably takes place after the end of G Gundam because Rain’s Rising Gundam is fully intact. It’s interesting that Rain and Domon interact in their mock battle in the same way that Domon did with Master Asia.
