Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative is a theatrical film was released in Japan in 2018. It is a sequel to the OVA series Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn and was partially adapted from Gundam Unicorn‘s epilogue novel. Directed by Shunichi Yoshizawa, it featured a script from Harutoshi Fukui, mechanical designs by Hajime Katoki and character designs by Kumiko Takahashi and Se Jun Kim. The score was created by returning Gundam Unicorn composer Hiroyuki Sawano. Set in UC 0097, the movie focuses on the mysterious Unicorn Gundam 03 “Phenex” that went missing in an incident two years earlier. Earth Federation Forces pilot Jona Basta, who has a personal connection to the Phenex’s pilot, is assigned to a team competing against Neo Zeon remnants for control of the rogue mobile suit. The movie had a limited theatrical run in North America and is available on home video from Nozomi Entertainment.
