An OZ transport travels through space with several Leos as an escort. The Leos stop to investigate the wreckage of a spacecraft when suddenly the transport picks up high ECM interference. Duo appears in the Deathscythe Hell and destroys the escort Leos. He declares that the God of Death has returned from Hell and destroys the transport craft. Duo then hauls away the cargo and several Leos, which he will use to finish the last 20 percent of the Deathscythe Hell. The Lunar Base continues to produce more Virgo mobile dolls as part of Operation Nova. A soldier reports to Tubarov that Trant has set out to investigate the recent destruction of several cargo carriers. Tubarov becomes suspicious when he sees that Trant left as the only soldier with 10 Tauruses, 50 space mines and a support carrier. Elsewhere, Trant continues to examine Wing Zero‘s Zero System and concludes that it exposes a soldier’s vulnerabilities in space. He has several space mines chase him and destroys them with his machine cannons. He then attacks the Taurus mobile dolls with the twin buster rifle and has a vision of being killed by the dolls. He terminates the simulation and returns to his shuttle, wondering why he hallucinated. He recalls Heero’s rampage in Wing Zero and wonders if he was hallucinating too. He thinks that he’d have an answer if he had data from an actual battle rather than just simulations. He recalls that two Gundam pilots are still in space and ignores a call from Tubarov. Tubarov concludes that Trant is violating military procedures and orders Barge to send troops to find Trant. Elsewhere, Duo brings the Leos on a trailer to sell to a scrap dealer. Duo is surprised that the dealer is taking the suits without inspecting them, but the dealer tells him it’ll be bad for his business if Romefeller takes over. Hilde runs over to Duo and asks if she can help with anything. Trant takes off with Wing Zero and several Tauruses to head for the area where transports have been disappearing.
Hilde later meets up with Duo in a junkyard and tells him that she wasn’t able to find out about any OZ transport plans. He says that he wants to destroy Barge right now, but it’ll have to be put off. Hilde asks him if he’s going to keep fighting alone, and he answers that he has no choice. She asks if she can help, so he jokingly asks for a steak dinner. Trant then lands next to them in Wing Zero and points the twin buster rifle at Duo. He threatens to kill Duo if he doesn’t come with him. Duo tells him the rifle’s power could destroy the colony, but Trant says he doesn’t care. He says he’ll rise in the ranks by creating a new combat system for OZ. Trant takes Duo into space and puts him in Wing Zero’s cockpit with several monitoring devices attached. Trant tells Duo that he wants him to fight the Taurus mobile dolls, but Duo says he might escape instead. Trant tells him that he can take over Wing Zero’s controls at any time, and that if Duo tries anything he’ll have the mobile dolls destroy the colony. The Tauruses open fire on Duo, who counterattacks with the beam saber so that he doesn’t damage the colony. He begins to have strange visions and imagines that the Deathscythe Hell is attacking him. Trant asks him if he knows what Wing Zero is trying to show him, but Duo says he doesn’t know. Duo destroys more Tauruses and has visions of more Deathscythes. He sees himself destroying the last Taurus with the twin buster rifle, which also destroys the colony kills Hilde. Duo snaps out of the illusion and sees that he destroyed the Taurus with a beam saber instead of the rifle. He’s surprised to see the colony intact and wonders how a human could pilot Wing Zero. Trant enters the cockpit and tells Duo that Wing Zero could alter human consciousness to a whole new level. A Leo squad approaches and orders Trant to surrender and hand over Wing Zero. Trant throws Duo out of the cockpit and takes off to attack the Leos. Hilde flies into space with a shuttle and picks up Duo. Trant destroys several Leos in search of the ultimate vision. Duo takes off in the Deathscythe Hell to stop Trant because the Zero System is too much for a human to handle. Trant feels his consciousness expanding as he continues to destroy more Leos. He decides to destroy the colony because he hasn’t had enough yet, but Duo attacks him. Trant dodges and tells Duo that he can see all his moves. Trant knocks away Duo’s beam glaive and overpowers him. He has a vision of Duo self-detonating to kill both of them and kicks Duo away. He vows that he won’t be defeated by a kid, and Duo tells him he’d be losing to Wing Zero. Trant fires the twin buster rifle, and Duo cancels out the shot by firing his buster shield. Trant loses his mind as Wing Zero is sent flying away. Duo again says that Wing Zero is too much to handle, and if anyone could, they’d be superior to the rest of humanity.
This episode takes us back to space, where Duo remained after escaping from the Lunar Base. He’s somehow hooked up with Hilde, who is now acting as his partner-in-crime. Duo’s been raiding OZ transports so that he can eventually complete the Deathscythe Hell, but it looks as though he hasn’t had much progress with that. Meanwhile, Trant continues to experiment with Wing Zero’s Zero System, and we see that he’s gone even more insane than Quatre did. He turns on OZ and threatens to destroy the colony until he’s finally overwhelmed by the system. Duo becomes the third Gundam pilot to use Wing Zero and get a taste of how dangerous its system is. He’s certainly right that it’s too much for most people to handle.
