The Hackman was a small space debris collection ship used by the Republic of Zeon. Originally used as an asteroid mining ship, the Hackman was equipped with a large arm and built-in rock drilling machines in its forward and aft sections. The ship featured dual cockpits mounted in its forward and aft sections. Debris collected by the large arm was crushed inside the drilling machines and stored in a container inside the hull. The Hackman was used in UC 0077 to help clean up debris after a Salamis class cruiser crashed into a colony at Side 3.
