The HL-97 Bulldog was a construction labor produced by Hishii Heavy Industries. The Bulldog used an airplane-style canopy cockpit that gave its pilot a wide field of view. Through the use of optional equipment, the Bulldog could perform underwater work at depths of up to 10 meters. As Hishii’s best-selling labor, the Bulldog was frequently utilized in the construction of the Babylon Project and at other sites across Tokyo. Because of its popularity, the Bulldog was frequently stolen and used in labor crime. A Bulldog unit was temporarily appropriated by the Tokyo police’s SV2 labor unit during an attempt to end an airplane hijacking at the Tokyo International Airport.
