The Solo Ship slowly departs from the planet Ruins Star. Bes directs the ship to head towards the Stardust region of space, an area filled with asteroids. Hatari notes that they won’t be able to tell foe from ally in this region. Meanwhile the Dorowa Zan watches the Solo Ship depart. Guhaba tells Harulu that repairs are done on the Zigg Mack and he wants one more chance to prove himself against the Giant God. Harulu allows it. Karala brings tea to some of the crew members of the ship. Kasha still thinks that Karala may betray them since she’s of the Buff Clan. Karala leaves. Bes visits Banda Lotta in the forest dome, where she is growing food for the ship. Sheryl and Cosmo come to see Bes and question him about whether it’s alright to let Karala wander around the ship on her own. Bes thinks she’s trustworthy since she has no more allies and gives them helpful information. Lotta thinks about what they’ve been saying. A trio of Zlow Jicks depart from the Dorowa Zan along with the Zigg Mack. Guhaba thinks the Solo Ship is trying to lead them into the Nimbus Zone. Karala wanders around the ship and thinks about how she could have returned to the Buff Clan if it wasn’t for her sister. Someone shoots at Karala, missing, then runs off. The Buff Clan forces head through the ‘Stardust’ zone after the Solo Ship. Hatari detects the Buff Clan following them. Bes wants to head deeper in so they can escape, but Hatari thinks there’s too many asteroids. The mysterious shooter continues to pursue Karala. Kasha and Cosmo head towards the Ideon and while passing the bridge Sheryl gives them devices to help her investigate data from the Ideon. Asteroids hit the ship, causing it to shake. Guhaba tells the Zlow Jicks to approach the Solo Ship. Asteroids continue to strike the Solo Ship and prevent Kasha access to the Sol-Conver when a hatch won’t open. Bes tells her to head to the Sol-Amber and transfer from there. Sheryl wants to retreat but Bes says no. Karala is struck in the shoulder from the mysterious shooter, who continues to flee. Cosmo and Kasha head out on the Sol-Amber in order to track down the Sol-Conver, which has been knocked off the ship and is being attacked by the Buff Clan. Moera launches in the Sol-Vainer. A Zlow Jick shoots another tracking device onto the Solo Ship. Karala tells Bes that heading through the Nimbus Zone is suicide but Bes won’t listen to her. He asks her how the Buff Clan can track them from so far away. Karala doesn’t have an answer for him.
Moera and Tekuno attack the enemy using the Ideo-Nova, but have difficulty due to all the asteroids. Cosmo and Kasha continue to head towards the Sol-Conver. When they approach it, Cosmo departs and tries heading into it. A Zlow Jick finds him and is about to shoot, but is truck by an asteroid and is destroyed. Cosmo gets in the Sol-Conver and the Ideon docking sign appears. The three units transform into the Ideon. Bes wants to charge through the Stardust with the Ideon in front. Cosmo warns the other pilots against firing so the enemy won’t see them. Cosmo and Kasha return to their usual positions. The Buff Clan continues to track the Solo Ship using the tracking device as the Solo Ship tries to depart from the Stardust. Guhaba orders the Zlow Jicks to launch a pre-emptive strike on the Solo Ship before they arrive. He is surprised to see a barrier formed around the Ideon and Solo Ship, protecting them from harm. The Zlow Jicks launch their attack on the Solo Ship. Deck heads to the forest dome to see if Lotta is alright. The Ideon and Solo Ship are struck with direct hits, and the barrier no longer works as the Ideon gauge is down. Deck finds Lotta running around with a pistol. She is about to shoot Karala on the bridge but Deck knocks her down in time for her to miss. The Zigg Mack continues to attack the Ideon, which has trouble moving. The Zigg Mack uses its claw attack on the Ideon and launches its particle cannon. The top part of the Ideon detaches itself and punches the Zigg Mack, destroying it. Realizing that the Zigg Mack was destroyed, the Zlow Jicks depart. Lotta is confronted by everyone in the forest dome about why she’s trying to kill Karala. Even Sheryl says its wrong to take revenge on Karala since she’s helping them. Lotta says that Solo would still be peaceful and their families would still be alive if the Buff Clan never came. Despite the objections of everyone else Karala tells Lotta its alright if she kills her. Lotta shoots at Karala, but misses. Karala tells her to aim straight. Lotta fires all the bullets left in her pistol but fails to hit Karala. She starts crying and falls to the ground. Cosmos thinks its sad for everyone to be acting so mature in such a situation.
This episode has some interesting developments as Lotta tries to kill Karala. Karala amazingly enough allows Lotta to attempt to kill her, but Lotta is too nervous and ends up missing with all her shots. This recent development should hopefully remove some of the distrust people like Cosmo and Sheryl have for Karala. That said, this storyline does have its flaw in that it took 13 episodes for Lotta to attempt this when its been known for a long time that Karala was of the Buff Clan. Its handled much better in the compilation movie, where these events take place soon after the Solo Ship departs Solo. This episode features Bes being immensely stubborn, putting the Ideon and Solo Ship in grave danger when heading through the Stardust Zone. Luckily the Ideon’s barrier protects them. Finally, we see the end of Guhaba Geba after Cosmo’s interesting tactic of detaching part of the Ideon during battle.
