The IPP-66305 Hugo was a lightweight space combat mobile suit that was unique for its backward-jointed legs. Introduced during the middle stages of the Calamity War, the Hexa Frame was the second most mass produced design after the Rodi Frame. The Hugo was designed for capture and seizure in debris fields, and thus its armaments were focused on first seizing enemies and then finishing them off. Compared to other mobile suits, the Hugo’s cockpit was mounted in its head to increase pilot survival. The Hugo’s armaments included four head missiles, two shot anchor claws to capture enemies, a 110mm machine gun, a 300mm long rifle, two scimitars (also called engetsuto) and a buster sword. The Hugo was used by the space pirates known as the Dawn Horizon Corps, as well as by JPT Trust, a Teiwaz subsidiary. Both groups were defeated in battle against Tekkadan.
