The Jukon class was one of two submarine types used by the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War, but the vessels originally served under the flag of the Earth Federation Forces. During the Earth invasion operations, the Zeon captured the EFF’s Juneau class and Lockwood class submarines and converted them to the Jukon class and Mad Angler class, respectively. The newly redesignated Jukon vessels were designed to accommodate Zeon’s amphibious mobile suits. Several refit variations were also deployed during the war. After the war, surviving vessels remained in use with Zeon remnants as late as UC 0090.
