The Jupitris class was series of massive ships used by the Jupiter Energy Fleet to collect Helium-3, which was used to power fusion reactors. The ships constantly traveled back and forth between the Earth Sphere and Jupiter to deliver their haul. In UC 0087, the original Jupitris returned to the Earth Sphere, and its captain, the opportunistic Paptimus Scirocco, joined the Titans. Although Scirocco later captained the Dogosse Giar, the Jupitris remained his base of operations where he designed and constructed his own series of mobile suits. At the end of the Gryps War in February UC 0088, the Jupitris was destroyed soon after Scirocco was killed in battle by MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam pilot Kamille Bidan. Following the ship’s destruction, the Jupitris II was built as its replacement.
