The Karcharias was a custom underwater transformable mobile suit developed by Randegger Heavy Industries as part of its RDG Series. The Karcharias was built from universal standard parts, making its origin difficult to determine. Thanks to its stealth film, it was capable of sailing silently without thrusters so that sonar would mistake it for a whale or other marine creature. It was also equipped with fin crawlers that allowed it to run on land but also functioned as an auxiliary thruster underwater. It was armed with torpedoes and claw arms that featured mega particle cannons. These claw arms could be used for “biting” attacks to grab and crush enemy mobile suits. In UC 0112, CEO Oier Randegger and his subordinate Griselda Jiah used the Karcharias to attack the EFF during a test of the F90M Gundam F90 M-Type in the Labrador Sea. Gundam F90 pilot Patsy Angelika managed to damage the Karcharias and force its retreat, but Oier and Griselda later launched more attacks with the RDG-3 Tigris.
