Technical and Historical Notes

Labor X was a homemade labor built for one purpose: revenge. When Tokyo police Special Vehicles commander Zen Sofue was dismissed from his job, he blamed Division 2 Capt. Kiichi Goto for his misfortune. After his dismissal, Sofue and his son opened a repair shop, where he constructed Labor X. Sofue and his son then engaged in a campaign of harassment against Goto and sabotage against Division 2 to make Goto look incompetent. Sofue’s plan culminated in an attack on the SV2 station house with Labor X to kill Goto. However, the poorly constructed Labor X proved to be a non-threat and fell apart under its own weight, thus ending Sofue’s quest for vengeance.
