The rebels gather at a temple in the woods. Amu apologizes to Stella for not having all the weapons he wanted, but he says it’s alright. He gives her gold coins to keep to herself as a reward for what’s she’s done. Nei and Gavlet discuss their plans in a tavern. At the temple Daba refuses payment, angering Stella. Amu and Kyao think they should accept it, but Leccee says they’d be no different than Poseidal if they accepted the money. Daba argues with Stella over his tactics and leaves. Stella requests Leccee decipher a message for him from Nei, which states they will be launching an attack soon at Guraba. Amu suggests they send out a separate unit to intercept them and launch a second group for a sneak attack. Amu and Leccee argue some more and Leccee volunteers to head out to Guraba. Nei arrives at the temple and wanders around. Daba, sitting in a tree, notices her enter the temple. Nei notices a large amount of ammunition inside, enough to destroy the space port. Daba arrives and puts out fuses she has lit. He gets a jump on her, but she attacks him with a whip and escapes. Daba senses the spirit of a fox from her. He chases her through the temple hallway, but is unable to catch up with her. He spots Leccee getting on a painted Arorne. He heads down and asks Amu and Leccee what is going on. Leccee says she’s going out on Amu’s orders to fight for him. Amu gets mad at Leccee for trying to look good in front of Daba. Daba spots Nei again but she runs off. Leccee’s forces head out, and she lands and decides to wait for the enemy to arrive. Meanwhile, a separate force of rebels led by Daba on the L.Gaim head out.
Kyao, piloting a Spirit booster, wonders if Stella’s forces will be alright with so many heading out. Daba realizes that Lilith has snuck aboard the L.Gaim. Leccee waits around for the enemy and wonders if they’ve fallen into a trap. Gavlet and another soldier head out to meet up with Nei. She says their goal is to get rid of Stella and transfers into the Auge. Amu looks upset and Stella asks her what is wrong. Stella is confident in the soldiers outside. Nei sets off the bombs she planted in the temple that Daba didn’t find. Stella realizes the temple was the enemy’s main target. Daba and the others, on their way to meet up with Leccee, encounter a group of enemies. Chai watches the battle, wondering why so few rebels are there. Stella starts retreating from the temple, but Amu doesn’t think they should retreat and wait for the others. Gavlet lands on top of the Noble. He tries attacking but is knocked off by Leccee, who made it back just in time. Nei realizes the enemy has returned and is disappointed at the performance of her troops. She finds the L.Gaim and starts attacking it. Daba pulls back and spots Nei just as she launches an attack on him. The L.Gaim is partially damaged and when Daba shoots at the Auge’s head, he causes no damage. He jumps up and steps on the Auge’s head, angering her. Daba jumps up from the woods and attacks her from behind. Nei gets angry at him dodging her shots. It’s actually Lilith who is doing the piloting while Daba heads out on the Flicker and attacks the Auge at close range, forcing it to the ground. Nei calls out to Gavlet, telling him they should retreat. The rebels regroup back at the base, and while Stella admits he’s made mistakes, he’s angry at Daba for disobeying orders. Amu says she’s sorry for what happened and rushes to hug Daba, but Leccee stops her. She turns, only to be stopped by Lilith. The rebels head out to their base at Little Saye.
This was a rather dull and uninteresting episode; the worst one we’ve had in the series thus far. Not only did the plot not really go anywhere, but the animation was quite poor too. Nei suddenly has brown hair, and a completely different hair style as well. I have no clue what was going on with the fox thing. Things have slowed down somewhat; I hope the plot start going somewhere again soon.
