The rebels launch a shuttle into space at their Little Saye base. Stella comments on a booster being added to the Works‘ arsenal and the ongoing effort to mass produce the L.Gaim. Stella thinks Daba is trying to put him in his debt. Stella thinks someone from Mizun was behind the creation of the L.Gaim, someone from the Yaman Clan. Meanwhile in space, Poseidal’s space battleship, the Ape, moves towards Mizun. The mechanics at Stella’s base are scared about Poseidal going after the Yaman Clan and don’t want to stick around any longer. Amu wonders what’s the problem since the Yaman were supposedly wiped out. An old man, Cabot, watches Daba walking around. Stella is informed that Giwaza has succeeded in holding back the rebels on Koam. Stella feels that he can no longer just wait around to do something bold. Cabot confronts Daba and starts attacking him, wanting him to leave. He is mad because the Yaman Clan was involved in the L.Gaim’s construction. He doesn’t want Poseidal to get involved and thinks she’s heading after them because of the L.Gaim. He thinks Daba is one of the Yaman and doesn’t want him around. Daba heads off to see Stella, thinking about his father telling him not to use the name “Kamon.” Stella decides to have Daba and the others head out to space and launch an attack on Poseidal. Leccee doesn’t agree with the plans, thinking they don’t have enough strength yet. Cabot watches them leave and flies into the space shuttle just as it is taking off. Several other crafts follow. Amu gets mad at Leccee for sitting on Daba’s lap. Cabot wonders if Daba is part of an old, wiped out dynasty. On Mizun, Gavlet and Chai watch the shuttles take off. Gavlet goes to see Nei and sees her coming out of the shower. He reports to her that the rebels have left to space. Nei wants to head out to space to attack them. Gavlet wonders how they’ll get into space, but a giant space launcher is revealed nearby. Gavlet tells Nei she’s beautiful even without any make-up on. They head into space. Daba thinks back to his dying adopted father and when he gave him a pendant proving he was prince of the Yaman Clan.
Daba’s dying father reveals he’s actually the last remaining member of the Kamon family, head of the Yaman Clan. He says he should defeat Poseidal either by starting a rebellion or entering the army himself. He dies soon after. Daba wonders why Poseidal wants to exterminate an entire group of people. Amu tells him Poseidal’s forces are approaching. Daba notices Cabot in the hallway, who says he’ll be defeated by Poseidal. Daba heads to the bridge, where they check data on the incoming ships. Daba and the others then head to the dock, where Amu fights with Kyao about being able to go out on an Arorne. Kyao thinks it’s too dangerous to go out, and Amu is mad because Leccee’s going out and she isn’t. Daba gets into the L.Gaim with Lilith and tells her to get herself a spacesuit. Leccee and another pilot head out ahead of Daba on Arornes. Daba soon follows them on the L.Gaim. A number of crafts start leaving the Ape and attack the rebels’ Arornes, defeating two of them with ease. Seeing this, Daba moves forward and calls out to Leccee to support him. On the ship, Kyao and Amu fight over who gets to shoot the ship’s cannon. They distract a Space Graia long enough for Leccee to defeat it. Cabot heads to the dock and tells Amu she shouldn’t go out on the booster since she can’t even put on her spacesuit properly, but she heads out anyway. Daba says he’s going to move forward and attack the Ape. Leccee disagrees with his tactics and heads after him. He confronts a new heavy metal, the Bal-Bud, which gives him a degree of difficulty. Nei and Gavlet reach the battle on their spaceship and Nei heads out on the Auge. The captain of the rebels’ shuttle informs them of the newly approaching enemies. Nei attacks the rebels’ ship and continues on. Amu heads out to help Daba with the Bal-Bud while Leccee takes care of the Auge. Daba approaches the Ape and sees Poseidal on the bridge. He destroys the Bal-Bud and Amu helps him fight off the Auge. The Ape escapes, however. Daba and the others return to the rebel’s base on Mizun. Stella thinks the fact that they were able to get so close to the Ape is a big success. Cabot comes off the ship and congratulates Daba on what he’s done. Amu and Leccee argue as usual and continue their fighting in a pair of Arornes.
After a really bad episode last time, this episode somewhat redeems things as the action returns to space for the time being. Glad to see Nei’s appearance has gone back to normal. This episode introduces us to a couple of new crafts, the massive Ape spaceship of Poseidal’s and the Bal-Bud. The rebels are increasing their forces by starting to mass produce the L.Gaim and using a number of Arornes in their space battle. Speaking of Poseidal, we finally get to see her, although only for a few seconds. I’ll talk about her in the next episode. What was hinted in episode 8 is officially confirmed, that Daba is the prince of the Yaman Clan, apparently the only one remaining. That certain members of the rebels would be upset over the possibility of Daba being a Yaman makes no sense to me; they’re scared of Poseidal yet the whole point of their organization is rebelling against her!
