L.Gaim Ep. 30: Our Master

0
Summary

Four vehicles drive across the barren wilderness on Trydetol until they reach a large chasm. At the bottom of the chasm hides the Turner. Amu complains about the rebels taking food from the Turner. Allon, upset over Leccee leaving, says they only think about themselves. The vehicles drive to the bottom of the chasm and the drivers are impressed with the size of the forces. Semuj thanks them for arriving. Semuj is happy with their growing forces, but Daba says they don’t have enough ships yet. Daba thinks the soldiers will separate from him eventually when they realize his true reasons for rebelling. Lilith thinks Semuj is using him, and Daba says he understands now why Leccee left since he’s not making clear decisions. In space, Nei, Heckler and Anton head to the Sarge Opus. Nei apologizes to Giwaza for failing, and Giwaza tells her Poseidal will be arriving in this system soon and the Sarge Opus will be given to her. He says he loves her and she leaves soon afterwards. On the Slender Skala, Pamela tells Gavlet that Leccee was kicked out of the rebels. Gavlet gets excited thinking about it and wants to invite her to their side. Meanwhile the rebels argue with Daba and Kyao, who think their forces aren’t large enough yet to launch an attack. Semuj stops them and says they must fight together. He sees the Yaman Clan sign on Daba’s saber, and Daba explains he got it from his father. Semuj realizes he’s of the Yaman Clan. Daba admits he was being too cautious in order to avoid more deaths. On the Slender Skala, Pamela tells Gavlet they have an order from Nei to join her attack. Gavlet tells Nei he wants them to be fully prepared before he joins in. Pamela tells Gavlet she heard a rumor that Olibee may join the Elite 13 and that Giwaza is nervous about his position because of that. Gavlet tells Pamela she must be a spy for Nei because she knows so much. He heads out in a shuttle to track down Leccee. On the Turner, Kyao tells Daba that Semuj is planning on launching an attack. Daba thinks that rushing into things won’t do them any good and he shouldn’t be so hasty. Semuj heads out with his forces anyway, and Daba gets upset.

Daba tells the crew to track the enemy’s movements. Nei approaches with her forces in the air. They soon engage in a battle with the rebels. Daba feels that it is a trap and sends out the Turner. He contacts Semuj, telling him they are heading into a trap. The other rebels don’t want to listen to him. The Turner exits the chasm but stops right there. The rebels don’t want to listen to the Turner, thinking they are scared to head into battle. Amu swears to help out Daba and runs off. Daba heads out in the L.Gaim Mk-II. Seconds later, Amu arrives on the deck and gets into the L.Gaim with Lilith. She grabs onto the Mk-II, which is in flight mode. The two crafts approach the battlefield and the Turner follows. Nei and her wingmen start attacking the Turner. Some of the rebels start realizing how outnumbered they are. Daba tells Amu to help Semuj while he attacks the Auge. Semuj admits he was too confident in his forces. Amu fights Anton and Semuj joins in, but his D.Sserd is damaged and crashes to the ground. Daba heads down to see how he’s doing. He heads back into the air to fight the approaching Nei. Semuj thinks back to the saber, recognizing the King of the Yaman Clan’s symbol. He tells one of his underlings that Daba will be a good leader. Heckler grabs onto a buster launcher and fires at the Turner. While he narrowly hits it, the Turner‘s attack blows off both the Bat-Shu‘s legs. Nei vows she’ll defeat Daba for Giwaza’s sake, but is outnumbered by the rebels, who apologize to Daba. Anton says they must head back and she reluctantly leaves. Daba says to fall back since they’ve suffered damage. Nei says she can’t face Giwaza after what happened. Gavlet arrives and Nei yells at him for showing up so late. Elaine gets mad at Gavlet for making Nei so mad. The crew get mad too, except for Pamela. Daba heads out and is cheered on by the rebels. Semuj gives him a medal, and Daba shouts out that they’ll beat Poseidal.

Commentary

Although Leccee’s left, the rebel forces are getting large so that luckily didn’t result in much trouble for our heroes. Considering what happened a few episodes ago, it probably isn’t too surprising that Gavlet now wants to team up with Leccee after she left the Turner. He doesn’t seem too mad with Pamela after what she did last episode, in fact she seems to be the only one on the Slender Skala now who believes in him. Although the rebels didn’t listen to Daba at first, he was right all along and they eventually realize that they were a tad too aggressive. Although it was too late to keep Leccee around, it looks like Daba is going to focus more on leading the rebels.
