L.Gaim Ep. 38: Escape Giwaza

0
Summary

On Mizun, a damaged Spirit lands near the rebel base. The pilot comes out and reports skirmishes with the enemy are continuing and they need more forces. Semuj wonders what they should do. Kyao complains about having to fix the damaged Spirit, and Amu is concerned about him doing so much maintenance on their mecha. Daba wants to directly attack Poseidal at Sveto rather than continuing to defend themselves. Daba comes up with a plan called “Operation Star Dust” in which they’ll drop asteroids around Gastogal onto Sveto, enabling them to make a direct attack. Amu wonders how they will be able to come up with that strength and then remembers Palarta Star. Daba gives orders to find out where Palarta Star is right now and says they’ll call it the G Strategy Plan, with Semuj’s. The rebels load forces onto the Turner. Daba thinks the military is planning on trapping them here on Mizun so they’ll distract the enemy with the Turner, allowing more rebels to spread out throughout the Pentagona system. A number of Gulgul ships head out behind the Turner and Leccee decides to follow on the Whale. Meanwhile, Lily’s ship detects the rebels coming from out of the Mizun atmosphere and she’s intent on keeping them there. Daba thinks of Olibee and Poseidal controlling her as they head through the atmosphere. One of the Gulguls heading towards Koam is attacked by the enemy. Kyao informs Daba, who is upset they are not heading after the Turner instead. The Turner approaches and blasts the enemy. Lily yells at her underlings for not attacking the Turner directly. The Turner heads farther into space, attracting the enemy after it. In Sveto, Nei wanders through the halls looking for Poseidal when a woman approaches her with a change of clothes. Nei changes and heads to a holoscope room where a hologram of Poseidal appears. Nei requests to speak to her in person. Poseidal tells her to rest, but Nei wants to tell her about Full being a traitor. Poseidal asks Nei if Giwaza thinks she doesn’t exist, but Nei says it isn’t true. Hearing this, Poseidal leaves and her hologram disappears. Meanwhile on the Sarge Opus, Anton and Heckler work on detecting wiretaps in the walls. Giwaza destroys one and is upset at so many being on the ship. He seeks to attack Sveto and orders Ted and Baan to head out and gather more soldiers. Giwaza departs the Sarge Opus with Anton and Heckler and heads to the Slash.

Lily, on a green colored Sarge Opus heads out on her G.Roon to attack the enemy. Daba, Amu and Kyao go to the deck so they can head out. Kyao complains about the enemy targeting the Turner and Amu tells him that’s exactly what they want. The three of them head out and attack the enemy. Leccee watches from the Whale and finds out from her crew that there is a spy watching Giwaza, as ordered by Amandara. They haven’t been able to track him down and Leccee says to continue looking for him. Daba and the others have a lot of success against the enemy and Lily attacks the L.Gaim in her G.Roon. The Whale joins in on the attack. Lily’s underlings plead with her to return and she does. The Turner rendezvous with the Whale and Daba asks why the Whale isn’t staying on Mizun. Daba is told that Giwaza is acting strangely and sends information to the Turner about three ships heading out. Daba suspects that Giwaza is on the last one. Daba wants to pursue them with just the Turner, upsetting the crew. On the Whale, Leccee wonders if he’s getting close to the enemy. On her Sarge Opus, Lily is informed that the Turner is approaching. Lily gets a message from Giwaza and tells her underlings to attack the Turner and shield their flagship. Daba and Amu realize that Giwaza is not on the enemy’s flagship and they should follow the ship they think he’s on. Lily’s ship approaches them, so Daba and the others head to the deck and launch. Lily leads a number of heavy metals towards them. Kyao helps out Amu while the L.Gaim Mk-II blasts one of the ships. The ship damaged, Lily tells them they should crash into the Turner. The captain of the ship doesn’t want to go along, but Lily notes he’ll be branded a traitor if he doesn’t do what she says. Daba destroys the Bal-Buds near him and rushes towards the ship. Lily blasts the ship and it blows up right before hitting the Turner. Daba says to continue pursuing Giwaza’s forces. He thinks a woman like Lily doesn’t deserve to live.

Commentary

The show increases in intensity and it looks like Daba is coming up with plans to attack Poseidal’s capital, Sveto. The rebels are rallying their forces, and so is Giwaza, who now fully intends on rebelling against Poseidal as well. Speaking of Poseidal, she shows up for the first time in a while when she meets with Nei at Sveto. Like Olibee and Rockley, Poseidal has no interest in hearing about Full possibly being a traitor. I wonder where Gavlet is; isn’t he supposed to be coming to get Nei at Sveto? This episode shows yet again just how evil Lily is when she orders one of her ally’s ships to crash into the Turner.
