The Turner hides in an asteroid field. With Giwaza’s Slash nearby, Daba needs someone to head over to the Whale and contact them, so Amu volunteers. On the deck of the ship, Mesh and Lilith work on camouflage for one of their small space boats. Daba says he’s going to head over to Giwaza’s ship and Amu wants to come along and tells Kyao to head to the Whale instead. Meanwhile, on the Slash Giwaza is confident the Turner won’t be following them for much longer. On the Turner, Daba heads off while Kyao and Amu argue over who gets to come along. Kyao wins by tossing away her helmet and flies off. Daba tells Lilith he is confident Giwaza is on the ship and thinks the enemy’s actions have been odd lately. The two space boats hide behind an asteroid and they sneak into the ship by climbing through a trash duct. Daba blasts his way through the passage and they make their way to the main hallway. One of the operators on the bridge notices and sends a soldier to investigate. Daba and Kyao hold him at gunpoint when he arrives. The soldier says he doesn’t know where they are going and that Giwaza is in charge of this ship. Daba and Kyao attract another guard near and knock him out. Daba makes his way to Giwaza’s office and holds him at gunpoint, demanding to know where the ship is going. Giwaza tells Kyao he remembers him the first time they met. Giwaza reveals he is gathering more of his forces to fight the rebels, but Daba doesn’t believe him since his actions have been separate from Gastogal lately. Anton and Heckler arrive, so Daba and Kyao make their escape. Giwaza yells at Anton and Heckler since the rebels got so far. Daba and Kyao are chased through the halls by soldiers until Lilith is able to close the door on them. Daba and Kyao rush over to the trash duct and make their escape. The Slash fires at them but is unable to hit them. Giwaza is mad at Daba for making him look bad.
Giwaza thinks of how rude Daba has been. Giwaza tells Heckler to attack the Turner with Lily’s ship in front and orders Anton to stay behind. Lily’s Sarge Opus approaches the Slash. Daba and Kyao make their way back to the Turner and see Amu working on refueling the Turner from the Whale. Daba flies by the Whale and sees Leccee on a nearby asteroid. Daba tells her there will be an attack coming soon, and Amu watches angrily from the Turner‘s bridge. Heckler departs the Slash on a Bat-Shu, leading a number of Space Graias. Lily soon follows on her G.Roon, and Heckler informs her they will bring the enemy toward a large asteroid that will block any energy from the sun. Noticing the enemy coming, Daba and Leccee head back to their ships. Daba heads out on the L.Gaim Mk-II with Amu and Semuj following him. Heckler attacks Daba as soon as he heads out. Lilith is worried since the L.Gaim Mk-II hasn’t finished charging up. Heckler lures Daba away and Lily attacks him. Amu, meanwhile, is forced toward a chasm in a large asteroid and has trouble fighting the enemy with her energy running out. Daba escapes from Lily in order to help out. Semuj’s D.Sserd saves Amu seconds before she’s about to be killed and Daba arrives soon after. Amu says they should leave but the two of them want to stay and help get the L.Gaim out of the chasm. Amu pleads with him to go and he does, telling Semuj to stay and help the L.Gaim while he acts as a decoy. The L.Gaim Mk-II works its way through the chasm and is immediately attacked by the enemy with all their strength. Heckler tells Giwaza that Daba has surrendered and Giwaza orders them to take him captive so he can use him in negotiations with Full. The enemy drags the L.Gaim Mk-II with them as Amu sadly watches. Everyone on the Turner and Whale are upset over what’s happened.
Another entertaining episode as Daba and Kyao confront Giwaza but unfortunately are forced to make a hasty escape. Kyao seems surprised that Giwaza remembered him from when he originally tried to enter the military (all the way back in episode 4) but with a hair style as odd as Kyao’s it can’t be easy to forget him. This episode ends on probably the biggest cliffhanger of the series thus far, with Daba surrendering and being captured by the enemy. Daba’s an honorable person, sometimes too much for his own good. As the leader of the rebels he shouldn’t sacrifice himself for one person, even if it is Amu. It’ll be interesting to see what Giwaza does with him and how Daba fits in his plans.
