L.Gaim Ep. 52: Final Time

0
Summary

More asteroids enter the atmosphere of Gastogal and crash into Sveto. In the city, Amandara and Eiman work on repairing the bio-sensor system. Amandara thinks Mian had something to do with it malfunctioning. The Turner approaches the city, so Daba, Kyao and Leccee head out to attack the enemy. Kyao’s D.Sserd is damaged and crashes into the ocean. Daba tries to save him, but a number of Bal-Buds attack the L.Gaim Mk-II. Kyao puts on his spacesuit and tries swimming to the surface, but water enters his suit and he starts sinking towards the bottom of the ocean. He wakes up in the Novel D.Sserd‘s hands, and Leccee tells Kyao they had to retreat because of him. Daba and Leccee return to the Turner. Daba wants the rebels’ ships to gather near Sveto, but Amu and Leccee think a longer, drawn out battle will be better. Amu is concerned since they haven’t been able to get close to the city. Kyao says he saw an entrance to Sveto underwater, so Daba decides he and Leccee will head in that way. At that moment Full, who had the same idea, is heading through the ocean toward the underwater entrance. A pair of Bat-Shus enter the water and attack Daba and Leccee. They manage to destroy them. Meanwhile, McTomin leads his forces back toward Sveto. Amandara and Eiman leave and notice the heavy metals approaching. Daba and Leccee blast their way into the underwater entrance. Full and Asa have already arrived, and Full orders Asa to stay with the Gayrahms. Mian lies naked at the bio-sensor system and contacts Olibee aboard the Turner. She heads out and is confronted by Full. Mian says she shouldn’t violate their contract, and Full counters that it’s worthless if she has no power and slaps her. She tells Mian to recall the pain she’s felt in the past but Mian refuses, wanting to remain as Poseidal. Controlled by Mian, Olibee heads to the bridge of the Turner. Full tampers with the bio-sensor system, even though Mian tries to stop her.

Mian loses control of herself due to Full tampering with the bio-sensor system. Olibee feels weak and collapses in Amu’s arms. Mian talks through her and she starts bleeding from her eyes. Soldiers arrive and take Full captive, and Mian states she wants to question Full on her own. Outside the city the battle continues. Kyao’s D.Sserd is knocked into the water again and he ends up running into Daba and Leccee. They make their way out of the water and destroy the heavy metals attacking them. Kyao feels weak and collapses, so Leccee wonders if he was exposed to radiation like Lilith. In her mansion, Mian demands to know from Full why she’s trying to confuse her. Full talks about when they first met, before they became Poseidal’s Temple Knights. Full says she was happier in those days when she and Mian were rivals for Poseidal’s love. Mian says her memories have nothing to do with her, and Full states she has to destroy the bio-sensor system. She talks about Mian becoming Poseidal and Poseidal becoming Amandara. Kyao makes his way into the room and tries to blast Mian, but soldiers arrives and fire at him. The L.Gaim Mk-II tears through the room and Mian and Full run off. Daba finds Mian and aims his buster launcher at her, saying that she’s finished. Full runs in front of her and says they are ruining themselves, so he doesn’t have to be involved. Full tells Mian she shouldn’t die as Poseidal. The L.Gaim Mk-II is struck by a blast and falls over, crushing Full. Mian escapes from the wreckage and runs off. McTomin arrives in his A.Taul V and attacks Daba. Daba is upset since Poseidal is an enemy of both of them. McTomin doesn’t care and has his sights only on Daba. The Whale arrives and Daba vaporizes the A.Taul V with his buster launcher, killing McTomin. The rebel forces continue to draw nearer to the city. Mian, back at the center of Sveto, thinks about what Full was saying. She still refuses to believe that she’s not Oldna Poseidal.

Commentary

The action returns to Sveto for the final three episodes. Like episode 49, this episode is full of mystery regarding Full and Mian. Apparently both of them were Poseidal’s Temple Knights and vied for his love. He became Amandara while Mian became his puppet and ruled in his stead. Full is obviously sick of the situation and is angry enough at Amandara/Poseidal to try and destroy the bio-sensor system giving him so much power. Unfortunately for her, she ends up getting killed by accident when the L.Gaim Mk-II falls on her. Also killed is the bizarre McTomin, who was unable to cope with the might of the L.Gaim Mk-II’s buster launcher. Now that everyone’s at Sveto things will be really heating up as we reach the conclusion.
