L.Gaim Ep. 6: Sea Jack

0
Summary

Cannons from the ground fire at the Quart shuttle as it takes off. Chai tells his men to stop firing and is disgraced that they were able to steal the shuttle from one of the Elite 13. Daba brings the L.Gaim into the deck of the shuttle and runs in. The soldier who snuck aboard with Leccee grabs him. Daba is heard on the intercom by Amu, who originally thinks the grunts he’s making are from him making out with a woman. In actuality, Daba is trying to tell Amu that a woman is aboard. Amu heads out to find Leccee while Daba overpowers the soldier and knocks him out. He carries him to the bridge and hears from Kyao that Amu headed out after Leccee. Daba is worried about her and goes to help. Amu causes Leccee to fall down and lose her gun. Amu takes her captive but is distracted by Daba, so Leccee knocks her gun away. The two of them start fighting each other and end up knocking each other out. Daba watches, embarrassed, and carries the both of them to the bridge. Daba asks the captain where the ship is heading, and the captain answers that it’s planet Gastogal, but Daba and Kyao want to head to Mizun. Leccee laughs upon hearing they stole a ship without knowing where it’s going. The captain says the ship is programmed to head to Gastogal, but Daba and Kyao demand the programmer change course to Mizun. A group of ships approach and Daba heads to the deck to take care of them. He puts on a space suit and gets into the L.Gaim with the Flicker. He grabs an adapter for space and heads out. Daba finds the L.Gaim is going too fast now that it’s in space. Amu tells Kyao to help Daba out. Daba manages to shoot down one of the patrol ships after him. Kyao looks around the ship for a laser cannon. Leccee trips Amu and manages to tell the patrol ships the shuttle is heading towards Mizun. The patrol ships head out. Kyao enters the bridge and is kicked by Leccee, who runs into Daba as he comes in. Amu wants to throw her into space, but Daba says they’ll need her help later on. Leccee is upset at hearing him say that.

Chai hears about Leccee being aboard the shuttle and gives out orders over the phone. He is angry at Gavlet for entering his office, but Gavlet says he can get the shuttle back undamaged. Chai allows him to use a Space Lista and a Slash to give chase. Meanwhile, the Quart reaches a checkpoint of crooked Poseidal soldiers. Daba tells Kyao to trick them using the million geen credit chip. One of the soldiers contacts them and doesn’t care about what Kyao has to say, declaring that he’s sending in soldiers anyway. Amu tries to force the ship by them. Gavlet arrives in his Slash. Daba is about to head out, but Amu grabs on to him and says Kyao should head out instead since he’s such a lousy negotiator. Gavlet sends a transmission to them and Amu tells him they have hostages. Gavlet doesn’t care and attacks anyway; he doesn’t seem to care that Leccee is aboard. Daba heads back to the L.Gaim and goes out. Gavlet goes to take the Space Lista out. More patrol ships fire at the L.Gaim and he damages them. Gavlet heads out with two Space Listas and a Space Graia. Amu tells Kyao to head to the deck where soldiers are making their way in. The soldiers enter and exchange fire with Kyao. One of the soldiers heads off on his own and releases Leccee from her cell. She takes his gun and tells him she’ll take care of things. The soldier that was with Leccee attacks Kyao, trying to get his uniform back from him. Amu leaves the bridge in order to help him. The L.Gaim is held from behind by the Space Graia and Gavlet comes in for the attack, but the L.Gaim breaks free. Leccee heads to a gun on the Quart and aims at the L.Gaim. She’s about to fire when Lilith arrives and bites her. Gavlet’s shuttle is fired upon and retreats. Gavlet’s Space Lista and the others soon follow. Amu captures Leccee again, who seems happy when Daba comes back onto the ship. Amu thinks they were doing something and gets mad.

Commentary

We now move into the second phase of the show as our heroes head to the planet Mizun. Their capture of the shuttle went off pretty well, although with Leccee aboard it’s hard to keep complete control of the ship. Not to mention the constant attacks on them from the Poseidal military. Speaking of the military, Chai doesn’t seem to be too happy with having the overly ambitious Gavlet under his command, but still gives him permission to head after the captured shuttle. Using yet another kind of machinery, Gavlet fails against Daba yet again. He’s very proud of his abilities, but sure doesn’t perform that well. Amu and Leccee have just met, but already get on each other’s nerves. Amu clearly wants Daba all to herself and doesn’t want any other woman around.
