After battling Meijin Kawaguchi, Yuuma Kousaka of team Try Fighters decided to upgrade his LGZ-91 Lightning Gundam. The enhanced LGZ-91Fb Lightning Gundam Full Burnern took inspiration from the RX-78GP01Fb Gundam GP01Fb Zephyranthes Full Burnern from the 1991-92 anime OVA series Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory. The new Lightning Back Weapon System Mk-II enhanced the Gunpla’s firepower, and new booster units dramatically increased its speed and mobility. The LBWS Mk-II could also function as a separate support machine. During the final battle of the 13th Gunpla Battle Japanese U-19 Championship, the Lightning Gundam’s main body was destroyed, but the Try Fighters defeated team Celestial Sphere to win the tournament. After the tournament, Yuuma rebuilt the Gunpla as the upgraded LGZ-91St Lightning Gundam Strider.
