The Luggun was a reconnaissance aircraft used by the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War in UC 0079. The Luggun was equipped with two radomes for data collection and lightly armed with missile launchers and a machine gun. The Luggun’s armaments were intended for defense rather than offense, and units came under attack on multiple instances from FF-X7 Core Fighters assigned to the White Base and Spartan. Because the Luggun was unsuited to sustained combat, Dopp fighters sometimes flew escort for it. After the war, the PMC Themis used Luggun crafts as part of its forces in UC 0090. Zeon remnants continued to use the Luggun as late as UC 0096.
