Summary

Charge! Acoustic Love Heart

Basara wanders through a desert and plays music for groups of people as he travels. After traveling with one group, Basara sets off on his own. Near a set of ruins, he finds a pair of glasses and puts them on.

Untitled

As a full size Zentradi, Veffidas wrestles with other Zentradi and trains in the forest. She easily defeats many opponents, both male and female.

Ray and Akiko and Stephan and…

Ray sits on a rocking chair outside a log cabin to watch the sunset and is joined by Akiko. Akiko tells him that Stephan proposed, and Ray wishes her well because Stephan is a good guy. Akiko tells him not to get ahead of himself because she hasn’t said yes yet, and she asks him how he feels about her. She says she doesn’t care if he loves or hates her, and he answers that he’s not confident about making a woman happy. Akiko then calls him a coward and begins to cry. She says she’ll stay with Stephan because he at least told her his true feelings.

Top Gamlin

As a young boy, Gamlin attends a funeral and looks to sky, where he sees two Valkyries flying high. Later, Gamlin enlists as a pilot and joins the other cadets as they’re addressed by their instructor, Milia. Milia puts her students through a harsh training regime, including running, gravity simulators and battle simulators. Finally, she leads the students in a real flight test on a planet. Milia climbs into the high atmosphere, and every pilot who chases her eventually pulls back, except Gamlin. When Gamlin breaks into the high atmosphere, he’s reminded of the image he saw as a child. As a member of Diamond Force, Gamlin enters battle.

Seven Bridge

Miho finishes her shift and finds the door to a room near the bridge open. When she goes inside, she sees Max sleeping in the corner. Miho takes off his hat, but when he moves forward, she runs away. Another operator takes off his glasses and wonders why Milia is ignoring a man like him. Elsewhere, Milia gets a massage from Michael and complains that he isn’t doing it hard enough. Sally walks into the room next and takes off her uniform jacket, which she covers Max up with. She then leans in close to kiss him, but she stops when the rest of the bridge crew watch. Max then talks in his sleep and tells everyone to keep their eyes on their monitors, so they run away.

Spiritia Dreaming

The Blue Rhinoceros team from U.N. Spacy approaches the fourth planet of the Varauta system and deploys its VF-14 Vampire variable fighters. Lt. Autolmauer asks Irane why he looks down and guesses that he’s worried about being assigned to a top secret project while being a newbie. Autolmauer tells him not to worry because special advisor Ivane Gyuntar has been sent along for the mission. In a frozen cavern underneath the planet’s surface, Ivano removes his helmet and is immediately possessed by Geperuniti. He says he’ll give Geperuniti all the Spiritia he desires, and all the men suddenly have Spiritia sucked out of them. Autolmauer shoots at the icy ceiling and is possessed by Gigile. As the last one left, Irane screams out in terror.

Guvava’s Planet

In 2036, Gyararashi creatures run away from a Tyrannosaurus Rex on the fifth planet of the Pukirases system. The T-Rex grabs them by the handful and eats them. The creatures run away and also become the prey of a flying dinosaur. In the end, only Guvava is left after the rampage. Guvava wanders alone at night and passes out, until it’s picked up by Max.

City Police 24 Hours

Police officers patrol City 7, and a TV reporter comments on the outbreak of vampire attacks and the victims they leave behind. The reporter comments that the vampires are believed to be enemy infiltrators, but the police have no details to go on. During the time when City 7 is separated from the rest of the fleet, the police become the main defense force. The reporter also comments on Gamlin’s actions in rescuing Milia from Zentradi terrorists.

Milia the President

In her mansion, Milia talks about her duties as mayor. Usually her job comes without any problems, but when the Varauta attack the city, she takes action in her vintage red Valkyrie. She also deals with Max and attempts to arrange a marriage for Mylene. Occasionally, she’ll also sing karaoke, and she brags about her 90 percent approval rating while dumping complaint letters. Basara tells her that she’s too old to be acting that way and angers her.

Let’s Bomber

A montage of clips of the band and various battles, set to “1-2-3-4-5-6-7 Nights” and “Diamond Calling.”

Good Morning Mylene

Mylene gets home late at night and checks the various video mail messages that Milia has left her. As the many messages play, Mylene falls asleep on her couch. The next morning, Mylene sings as she showers, and she later makes breakfast for herself. She thinks that it’s a beautiful morning and that something good will happen, but her mood instantly sours when she turns on the TV and sees Basara singing during a battle.

Commentary

As bonuses, it’s not really expected that most of these clips would be anything special. Many of them briefly focus on a character or two, since they all run about three minutes maximum. There are a few that stand out. One of them is the clip featuring Ray and Akiko. Although their connection is explained in the TV series, it always seemed as though there was something more between them, and this clip elaborates on that. We also get to see Max find Guvava on a strange alien planet. Perhaps the most interesting clip focuses on the U.N. Spacy team that is sent to investigate the Varauta system and is possessed by the Protodeviln. It’s interesting to see what sort of characters Ivano, Autolmauer and Irane were before their possession. That clip in particular should’ve been explored more in the TV series to help explain the show’s back story.
