Mobile Suit Gundam

For as many Gundam anime series that exist, there are far more manga and novel adaptations. They run the gamut from re-tellings of TV series to side stories to completely new stories. However, unlike their anime counterparts, the vast majority of Gundam manga and novels have not been translated into English. Starting in 2000, publishers Viz and TOKYOPOP published multiple manga series and some novels. Stone Bridge Press entered the Gundam field in 2004 with an updated reprint of the original Gundam novels that had been released in 1990. Bandai Entertainment also released manga and novels related to Gundam 00 before its demise. Unfortunately, all releases from Viz, Bandai and TOKYOPOP are now out of print. In 2013, publisher Vertical began its re-release of Gundam: The Origin. Vertical is currently publishing Gundam Wing: The Glory of Losers, while Viz is releasing Gundam Thunderbolt.
