The MD-0064 Darilbalde was a prototype close combat mobile suit developed by Jeturk Heavy Machinery. It was a proof of concept for Jeturk’s fifth generation mobile suits and prioritized adapting military drone technology for use with mobile suits. The Darilbalde implemented a Decision Making Extension AI capable of self-learning and autonomous operation. This was accomplished without implementing the GUND Format technology banned by the Mobile Suit Development Council. Multiple parts of the Darilbalde could detach and function as drones, including the Ambikā shields, the shackle claw feet, the Iśvara A Type arm units with a beam anchor and beam kunai, or the Iśvara B Type, which mounted two beam sabers. The Darilbalde was also armed with beam vulcan guns, a beam javelin (formed by combining the beam anchor and beam kunai), and knee crushers with pellet mine launchers.
In A.S. 122, Guel Jeturk piloted the Darilbalde in a rematch against Suletta Mercury’s XVX-016 Gundam Aerial and lost for a second time. Following this defeat, the Darilbalde’s armaments were revised and included the composite arms (a combination of a beam shot rifle and gunblade), the improved Daya Ambikā shield drones and Gussa Iśvara attack drones with beam cannons and restraint wires that could capture a target and explode. Guel used the upgraded Darilbalde in a rematch against Suletta’s XVX-016RN Gundam Aerial Rebuild and nearly lost again until Suletta’s suit was remotely deactivated by Miorine Rembran. This allowed Guel to sever the Aerial Rebuild’s blade antenna and win the match, thus reclaiming the title of Holder. Later, Guel used the Darilbalde in real combat against members of Grassley House, which resulted in the suit’s destruction.
