Technical and Historical Notes

When the xvv-xc Zedas debuted in combat in AG 115, it represented a radical departure from Vagan's earlier ovv-f Gafran and ovv-a Baqto. The close combat high mobility Zedas was designed for use by X-Rounders and took advantage of their advanced spatial awareness. The Zedas was armed with the standard Vagan palm-mounted beam vulcan guns/sabers, as well as a chest cannon and sword stored as a tail. The Zedas could also remotely control a secondary mobile suit piloted by an X-Rounder. Its high speed flight form exceeded the performance of all Earth Federation Forces units until the creation of the AGE-1S Gundam AGE-1 Spallow. When pilot Desil Galette suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Flit Asuno, he became consumed with a desire for revenge. His unit was later upgraded to the xvv-xcc Zedas C. A generation later, the improved xvv-xcr Zedas R was used by his younger brother Zeheart Galette, while the xvv-xcm Zedas M was assigned to a team of elite X-Rounder pilots known as the Magicians Eight.
