Technical and Historical Notes
Following the Bloody Valentine War, ZAFT developed its Second Stage of Gundam model mobile suits. As part of that design process, the ZGMF-X101S ZAKU Splendor served as a testbed for the three-module combining system utilized in the ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam. Based on a modified ZGMF-1001 ZAKU Phantom, the ZAKU Splendor featured a detachable cockpit similar to the YFX-M56 Core Splendor. The ZAKU Splendor was armed with standard grenades and could also carry two beam rifles and a sword.
