Technical and Historical Notes

The nations of the United Colonies Federation produced mobile suits and armors for use outside of the Gundam Fight. One such unit was the JMA-27T Fantomas, a mobile armor developed by Neo Japan. The large Fantoma was armed with dozens of missile launchers. It was unknown how many were produced, but one unit was used by Urube Ishikawa in FC 59 when he chased Kyoji Kasshu and the Ultimate Gundam to Earth. When Urube confronted the newly evolved JDG-00X (JDG-009X) Devil Gundam with a large force of JMS-60 Busshi suits, they were all wiped out and the Fantoma was severely damaged. Urube himself was injured in the battle, and the metal plate he wore over his face was the result of those injuries. In FC 60, another Fantoma unit was used as a stand-in for the Devil Gundam in a battle where Domon Kasshu was under the influence of hallucinatory drugs.
