Technical and Historical Notes

Following the end of the First Neo Zeon War in UC 0089, the Earth Federation Forces create the Londo Bell unit, which is tasked with hunting down Zeon and Titans remnants while avoiding the mistakes of the Titans. The EFF initially imposes restrictions on the use of Gundam-type suits, and it’s determined that the mass production RGM-86R GM III is insufficient to match the skills of Newtype ace pilot Amuro Ray. In response, a Karaba MSK-008 Dijeh unit is upgraded by Londo Bell’s mechanics into the MSK-008R Rick Dijeh. Londo Bell’s mechanics modify the binders and thrusters from the RMS-099 Rick Dias for use by the Dijeh, which is originally a ground combat unit. The original’s head-mounted cockpit has been modified, with the head raising and sliding back to allow access to the cockpit block. The Rick Dijeh retains the original version’s armaments, which include vulcan guns, a beam naginata, a beam rifle and a clay bazooka. It can also carry grenades and use the same hyper mega launcher as the AEUG’s MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam. In UC 0091, Amuro uses the Rick Dijeh in a battle against Titans remnants. After sustaining damange in a battle against the MRX-013-3 Psycho Gundam Mk-IV G-Doors, the Rick Dijeh is repaired and renamed as the Modified Rick Dijeh.
