Technical and Historical Notes

Following the theft and sale on the black market of the ASW-G-29 Gundam Astaroth Origin, the stripped down Gundam Frame turned up six months later in the Jupiter Sphere. Volco Warren was forced to cobble together armor and weapons to outfit the suit, redubbed Rinascimento, the Italian word for “Renaissance.” The Astaroth Rinascimento’s leg armor and shield were sourced from a UGY-R45 Garm Rodi. The suit’s weapons included a rifle customized by Volco for improved accuracy, a large demolition knife, a bastard chopper that incorporated Dainsleif and could connect to the demolition knife. It also mounted short knives, sub knuckles and a shield arm that could unfold into a sub-arm. Volco was not pleased with the appearance of the Astaroth Rinascimento, but pilot Argi Mirage was not bothered by it.
