Technical and Historical Notes

In the centuries following the Calamity War, the fate of many of Gjallarhorn's Gundam Frame mobile suits was a mystery. At some unknown point, the ASW-G-35 Gundam Marchosias was heavily modified and redesignated as the Gundam Hajiroboshi (after the Japanese name for the planet Venus). The high output of its twin Ahab reactors created high maneuverability, and it carried lightweight weapons that were easy to use and did not impact mobility. Armaments included a handheld smart mace designed to minimize impact on the suit's movement, a 110mm short-range rifle and a crab shield that functioned defensively and offensively with claws and a needle that could grapple and penetrate enemy armor. When mobile suits of unknown affiliation attacked the Radonitsa Colony orbiting Venus in P.D. 323, young civilian Wistario Afam activated the dormant Gundam Hajiroboshi and used it in combat.
