Technical and Historical Notes

In UC 0087, Anaheim Electronics designed multiple transformable mobile suits for the AEUG resistance group as part of Project Zeta. One of those designs, codenamed MSN-001 Delta Gundam, encountered difficulties with its transformation system and was subsequently reimagined as the non-transformable MSN-00100 Hyaku-Shiki. In the years following the Gryps Conflict, Anaheim returned to the abandoned concept of the Delta Gundam, which was refined into a successfully transformable prototype, the MSN-001A1 Delta Plus. The Delta Gundam design was also used as a virtual enemy in computer simulated battles. This simulated version was armed with a pair of 60mm vulcan guns, a pair of beam sabers/guns, a beam rifle and a shield.
