Technical and Historical Notes

The MW544B Sandhoge was a colony repair mobile worker with a strange insectoid appearance. The Sandhoge's body was equipped with eight limbs, out of which six functioned as legs for crawling across a colony's outer wall. The two remaining limbs functioned as arms, which were independently controlled from two cockpits in the shoulders. The shoulders could detach and function as separate, smaller units with two limbs each. The Sandhoge's legs could launch multiple nail-like devices, and its tail could shoot out multiple strings. Although the Sandhoge was a civilian unit, there are at least two instances of it being used in combat in UC 0153. In one instance, Zanscare pilots sought the help of Zubroch Simonev to pursue League Militaire pilot Uso Ewin and his LM312V04+SD-VB03A Victory Dash Gundam as he attempted to infiltrate Zanscare's capital Amelia Colony in Side 2. Simonev was eager to prove the Sandhoge's abilities so that it could be mass produced, but even when equipped with custom beam launchers, the Sandhoge wasn't a match for the V-Dash Gundam. In another battle, Zanscare pilots attacked Side 3 in an attempt to assassinate teenage civilian Font Baud in retaliation for posting secret information about the psycommu fortress Angel Halo on his mobile suit fan website. However, Font was saved through the intervention of the mysterious Serpiente Tacon pilot Curtis Rothko and his XM-X0 Crossbone Gundam Ghost X-0.
