Technical and Historical Notes

The ARMD class ships were space carriers constructed by OTEC Company for use by U.N. Spacy. The ARMD class implemented OverTechnology systems such as a gravity control system, reaction heat pile system and reaction weaponry. The ARMD ships were designed to carry many variable fighters and other spacecraft, such as the QF-3000E Ghost. The ARMD’s weapons included multiple beam cannons and anti-ship and anti-aircraft missile launchers. Two ARMD carriers were permanently docked with the Macross and served as the ship's "arms" in its humanoid attack mode. The Macross could focus its pinpoint barrier on the ARMD to perform an "ARMD Attack" and forcibly penetrate an enemy ship's outer hull.
