Technical and Historical Notes

The TRT-X66 Ixtl was an unmanned military labor. The powerfully armored Ixtl had a tank-like design with four legs instead of a more standard humanoid form. The Ixtl was equipped with a pair of machine guns and an autocannon that could cut through even the extra armor of an AV-98 Ingram. The Ixtl's purpose was to serve as a defense battery, and it was controlled via cable by an operator in a remote location. If the cable was severed, the Ixtl's own programming took over and accessed friends or foes. The Ixtl featured a pair of simple manipulator arms, but these served no function in close-range combat. In 2002, the right-wing National Defense Family launched a coup in Tokyo. Multiple Ixtl units were deployed to an underground tunnel to defend the group's headquarters from attack. The Ixtls proved a challenging target for SV2, and by the end of the battle all three Ingram units sustained heavy damage.
