Technical and Historical Notes

The Type M-5 Abraham was a military labor produced by Schaft Enterprises America that served as the main labor for Schaft Security Systems. Ostensibly Schaft's private security firm, "3S" operated more like a mercenary army that was deployed around the world. The Abraham was equipped with various armaments, including a smoke discharger, cannon and machine gun. In 1999, the management of Schaft Enterprises Japan determined that section chief Utsumi and his experimental Type J-9 Griffon were a liability, so they called in 3S to deal with the situation. However, several engagements made it clear that the Abraham wasn't on the same level as the advanced Griffon. The Abraham also worked its way into the dreams of Tokyo police labor mechanic Shigeo "Shige" Shiba. When Shige broke his leg after a fall, he dreamt of visiting an exaggerated version of New York where an Abraham was used by criminals and destroyed by an imaginary NYPD version of the AV-98 Ingram.
