Mechanista in G Ep. 277: Megas XLR

They say “don’t explain the joke.” But what about examining and analyzing a joke from a mechanical design perspective? The titular mecha of Megas XLR is built out of a (surprisingly large) pile of mecha anime jokes and references. Do those elements come together to be a design with its own merit?
