The MF-DJ-91U Daljuan was the personal unit of Gostello, a member of Le Cain’s elite (and bloodthirsty) Demon Squad. Gostello preferred close combat cutting attacks, which were implemented in the Daljuan’s design. The Daljuan’s armaments included needle shots and a movable metal claw shield, plus a unique lasered buzzsaw and a standard lasered gun. In 1996, Gostello was critically wounded on Mars during a battle with Eiji Asuka’s SPT-LZ-00X Layzner. His broken body was rebuilt as a cyborg, but his mind was consumed by hatred of Eiji. After several failed engagements in 1999, Gostello was jailed by Le Cain for disgraceful conduct. Gostello escaped and killed multiple Gradosian personnel while stealing the Daljuan. After suffering damage in a battle with Layzner, the Daljuan was destroyed by the other members of the Demon Squad. However, Gostello managed to escape before his SPT exploded.
