The Mobile Heavy Mortar was a support vehicle used by the Republic of Zeon. The tank-like vehicle was used to fire shell rounds. In UC 0077, the Mobile Heavy Mortar was also used for training by students at the Space Defense Military Academy at Side 3’s Guardian Colony. The Mobile Heavy Mortar was part of the equipment used by Char Aznable and Garma Zabi when they instigated an uprising and attacked the nearby Earth Federation Forces barracks. The successful uprising was later known as the Dawn Rebellion.
