The MS-06F Zaku II (Gunner) was a customized version of the Principality of Zeon’s mass production MS-06F Zaku II mobile suit. The Zaku II (Gunner) implemented new equipment, including treads on its knees and legs and a shoulder barrel mount to accommodate the large 680mm artillery cannon from the YMS-16M Xamel. The Zaku was also equipped with a camera on its head for long-range targeting. In addition to the Xamel cannon, the Zaku also carried a large shield, two sturm fausts and a 3-tube missile pod. The Zaku II Gunner worked in tandem with the MS-06F-2 Zaku II (Rangefinder) and the MS-14JG Gelgoog Jäger. In December UC 0082, Anaheim Electronics’ Livermore factory on the Moon came under fire from Zeon remnants using the Zaku II (Gunner). In response, the prototype RX-78GP00 Gundam GP00 Blossom was hurriedly sent into battle.
