The MS-07G-2 Gouf Tactical Assault Type was a variant of the MS-07B Gouf created from pilot feedback. The quadruple gun pack on its left arm included a medium-range rifle, machine gun, flamethrower and rocket launcher. It was also armed with a 120mm Gatling gun, heat rod, shield and heat sword. The added weight from these weapons necessitated that the suit be redesigned, and new leg thrusters were added to ensure the same mobility as the original Gouf. Because of the time required for the redesign, only 38 Tactical Assault Type units were produced. The units were mainly deployed to reconnaissance teams, and some saw combat in North America in November UC 0079.
