Late in the One Year War, the Principality of Zeon fielded the MS-14B Gelgoog High Mobility Type. A customized version was also created for Uma Lightning, a young experimental Cyber Newtype pilot. Uma’s Gelgoog was believed to use some parts from the former MS-11 project prior to its re-designation to MS-14. His unit also featured a different head and legs than the standard MS-14B. The suit’s armaments included a beam rifle, a giant bazooka, a missile launcher and a Ratsriver 3-tube missile pod. During the war, Uma and his custom Gelgoog were assigned to Zeon’s elite Chimaira Corps. After the war, Uma went into hiding with a false identity in the EFF and used his access to Federation materials to maintain and upgrade his Gelgoog. These upgrades included replacing the super hard steel alloy with Gundarium alloy, applying magnetic coating to the joints, and installing a modern linear seat cockpit with panoramic monitor. Uma’s upgraded Gelgoog saw combat on multiple occasions in UC 0090 as he searched for his former teammate, ace pilot Johnny Ridden.
