MS-X is a canceled spinoff of the original Mobile Suit Gundam series and MSV. In 1984, publisher Kodansha recruited Gundam writer Hiroyuki Hoshiyama and mecha designer Kunio Okawara to work on MS-X, which would have focused on new mobile suits developed under the Principality of Zeon’s Pezun Project. However, Kodansha canceled the project after Sunrise announced the creation of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. Although MS-X never came to fruition, many of its mobile suits have been featured in various anime, manga and video games.
