The MSJ-R122 Demi Barding was a prototype mobile suit developed by Burion. Although the Demi Barding featured new components, the basic structure of its propulsion unit was the same as current Demi models. The Demi Barding featured a wheel dash boost that added propulsion units to the heels to increase its speed. Its most innovative element was the Baori pack, a flight unit that could fire two articulated beam cannons from multiple positions and also operate as an independent unit. The base suit’s armaments included fist vulcan beam cannons, beam sabers and a beam rifle plus. In A.S. 122, Secelia Dote, a member of Burion House, loaned the Demi Barding to Chuatury “Chuchu” Panlunch of Earth House. Later, joined Suletta Mercury in the operation to disable Quiet Zero, a superweapon that could gain control of all systems using Permet links. As part of the operation, the Demi Barding’s Permet systems were disabled; to compensate, wireless systems were used for operation and communication.
