The MSN-001X Gundam Delta Kai was a prototype transformable mobile suit developed by Anaheim Electronics. Its design was based on the MSN-001A1 Delta Plus, although it equipped the N.I.T.R.O. System, a psycommu system that could temporarily give average pilots the same combat abilities as a Newtype. In keeping with its function as a Newtype-like suit, it was armed with a pair of proto fin funnels. Its standard armaments included vulcan guns, a long mega buster, two beam sabers/cannons, and a shield that could optionally mount a high mega cannon, a mega machine cannon and a burst bolt. The Delta Kai was later remodeled into the MSN-001X[G] Gundam Delta Kai Ground Combat Type.
