The Principality of Zeon’s Musai class light cruiser saw several revisions throughout the course of the One Year War in UC 0079. The late production type, fielded in the latter stages of the war, featured upgraded mobile suit storage capacity and launching capability. Two mobile suit hangars were now located in the aft section, resulting in increased width over the standard version. The late production type also utilized the upgraded Komusai II shuttle. The ship’s defenses were improved with the addition of 10 machine gun turrets. As the war ended, multiple late production types in service with the Delaz Fleet retreated from A Baoa Qu and spent the next three years hiding in a makeshift base known as the Garden of Thorns. The ships participated in Operation Stardust when it began in October UC 0083, and the Peer Gynt served as the base of operations for ace pilot Anavel Gato.
