The Masked Man, the Witch and the Ko-fi

There are quite a few items in this update, so let’s get right to it. Here’s what’s new today:

• New profiles and some improved lineart for Gundam GQuuuuuuX, rounding out almost everything seen in the movie.
• Multiple updates relating to The Witch From Mercury:
  • The factions list has been reorganized and condensed.
  • All the “small fry” school mobile suits have new primary lineart.
  • Nearly every profile has been updated with new secondary lineart.
  • There are many new profiles for ships/vehicles – everything except for the Tickbalang is brand new.

We’re now less than a month away from MAHQ’s 25th anniversary, and during this quarter century Dale and I have been lucky to receive support from so many people in the mecha community. Now, I come to you with an appeal for a different kind of support. MAHQ is a labor of love – one that we certainly don’t profit from, especially for all the time we pour into it. Over the years, advertising revenue has decreased while the costs of maintaining the site have increased. This is especially so after we replaced our entire image library with higher resolution images.

To be honest, we are nearing the point where the costs to maintain MAHQ are close to exceeding the advertising revenue that’s coming in, which is why we’ve set up a Ko-fi page (and widget on the site). If you support our work and would like to pitch in to help us be able to continue that work, we would appreciate any donation you can provide. Now, to be clear, MAHQ is not in any danger of shutting down, but we can use any help bearing the load. Your support lifts us up, whether that comes in the form of a donation or even just a kind word. Thank you.
