The NOG-M2D1/E BLACK KNIGHT SQUAD Cal-re.A was a mobile suit used by the Kingdom of Foundation in C.E. 75. A two-seater mobile suit piloted by Orphee Lam Tao and Ingrid Tradoll, it was the most powerful mobile suit fielded by Foundation during its conflict with Compass. Contrary to its “Black Knight Squad” name, the Cal-re.A was painted white with a gold trim. It was equipped with the same FT (Femto Technology) armor that was completely impervious to beams. Its standard armaments included a beam rifle, beam shields, two anti-MS swords, a hyper impulse gun and two physical claws. It was also equipped with multiple remote weapons, including eight wing-mounted pods that were equipped with beam guns and blades. Additionally, co-pilot Ingrid could control three large AMO-01 Ziggurat DRAGOONs that were armed with missile launchers and beam cannons. The Ziggurats were also capable of changing the trajectory of their beams to hit a target from behind. The Cal-re.A only saw combat once and was destroyed by Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne, who co-piloted the ZGMF/A-262PD-P Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam.
