The OP-02c Observation Pod was an unmanned reconnaissance pod used by the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War in UC 0079. The fixed point Observation Pod was designed to transmit data across short distances in real time, even with the presence of high density Minovsky particles. Several Observation Pods were used by Zeon’s 603rd Technical Evaluation Unit during the war. The Observation Pod also served as the basis of an advanced high speed reconnaissance variant, the YOP-04 Balor.
